Cost

Cost of Services:

Individual Therapy Sessions:

The typical length of an individual therapy session is 53 minutes. I charge $200 per 53-minute session. If we decide that you would benefit from shorter or longer sessions, we can prorate that amount.

Group Therapy Sessions:

The cost of group therapy varies depending on the nature of the group and the length of the session. For example, my anger-management  group is 60-minutes and costs $50 per session. My experiential mindfulness group is 30-minutes in length and costs $20 per session.

Psychological Assessment:

Psychological assessment is unique when compared to the costs of psychotherapy. The cost for psychological evaluation will vary depending on your needs. The cost of a full evaluation typically ranges from $1200 to $2800. All assessment services are billed at $200 per hour. This includes actual testing time, scoring, report writing, and follow-up or feedback sessions. A fee estimate will be provided following the initial assessment consultation.

Accepted Payments:

I accept payment via all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, as well as debit card and FSA/HSA cards.

Insurance

I am in network with most Aetna and Optum insurance plans, including United Health Care. If I am in-network with your primary insurance provider, I will gather information about your plan during our initial consultation and run an eligibility check to determine whether our session cost will be covered under your plan. Please see the list below for a comprehensive list of insurance plans that I am contracted with for therapy services:

Out of Network Billing:

In order to provide the highest quality of care possible, I am independent from working with most insurance companies or in-network providers (with the exception of Aetna and Optum). But don’t worry, I will always have your back in asking for what you need from your insurance company! If you have Out Of Network benefits under your insurance plan, I can provide you with a Superbill (a receipt) that you can use to be partially or even fully reimbursed for our session cost.

Good Faith Estimate:

You have the right to obtain a “Good Faith Estimate” describing how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
